Dr. Oscar Atumah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, dedicated to providing a compassionate, client-centered space where individuals can feel heard, supported, and empowered. With a warm collaborative style, I enjoy helping clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth.
I believe in honoring each person’s unique story and tailoring therapy to meet their specific needs—whether they are seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or relationship concerns. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop practical skills, and reconnect with their strengths so they can create lasting, positive change.
I bring a diverse and interdisciplinary educational background to my work. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Management, a Master in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Finance, which strengthen my understanding of life stressors related to work, finances, and career transitions.
Building on this foundation, I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Applied Gerontology, providing specialized expertise in aging, life-span development, caregiver support, and the unique mental health needs of older adults and their families. This blend of clinical training and real-world insight allows me to support clients with a holistic perspective.
